Introduction
The Michelson interferometer is mainly used to observe the two-beam interference of a monochromatic light source (e.g. interference fringes of equal-thickness, equal inclination, and white light), measure the wavelength of monochromatic light, or determine the coherent length of a light source or a filter. With the aid of a Fabry-Perot accessory, it can also be used to observe multiple-beam interference.
